"My wife, Cindee, and I feel so honored and privileged to be joining the St. Margaret's community," said Welch who plans to relocate to the south Orange County area this summer. "During our recent visits to the campus, we fell in love with the St. Margaret's students, faculty and staff. We are also thrilled with the school's proximity to our two daughters and five grandchildren who live in Mission Viejo and San Diego."
St. Margaret's high school athletic program includes 22 interscholastic sports and has attained 126 Academy League championships since 1982. The emphasis at St. Margaret's is on participation with more than 80 percent of the high school students involved in CIF athletics.

"We are very pleased to have an outstanding teacher and coach with a wealth of experience and success join our coaching staff," said St. Margaret's Athletic Director Susie Maga, a 13-year member of the school's faculty and coaching staff. "Coach Welch will surely continue the strong Tartan football tradition that has been established here at St. Margaret's."
