CALABASAS -- The Crespi boys basketball team capped off a terrific first week of the young season with a 73-60 victory against Chaminade in the championship game of the West Valley Thanksgiving Tip-Off Classic tournament at Calabasas High.


Championship: Crespi 73, Chaminade 60

Arizona-bound Brandon Williams made his first appearance in a long, long time Tuesday against Sylmar and finished the week as MVP of the 16-team field after pouring in 23 points in the final.

More impressive, Williams played limited minutes in his four games played. Williams never got close to 20 minutes. Williams scored 26 points in a semifinal win over Calabasas.
