The following prospects created an impression on us on Day 1:
Leon Sutton 6'1" 2007 Spring Valley (Las Vegas NV)
The Fullcourt Press All-West Camp has often served as a vehicle for an "unknown" player to jump on the camp's stage and grab the audience's attention. This time, it was Sutton who seized that opportunity. Lefty point with great confidence in his dribble as well as having the ability to set the table like a veteran floorleader, the unsigned Sutton (who is undecided on whether to go to prep school or take the JUCO route) has the savvy, court vision and passing skills to be an exceptional playmaker for a mid-major (or possibly higher) program. Made a great case for Top 20 Cream of the Crop status with his play today.
Leonard Washington 6'6" 2007 Thurgood Marshall (Compton CA)
Undersized wide-body is remarkably athletic and can finish in traffic with authority. Former USC signee is attracting overtures from several national programs including Kentucky – whose head man Billy Gillispie is expected to be on hand on Day 2 of the camp to monitor his play.
Dana Kendrid 6'4" 2007 Edison Prep (Edison NJ)
Las Vegas native is an explosive athlete that is close to being cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse. His acrobatic aerial assaults on the cup had the camp buzzing all day long. Underrated outside shooter (albeit somewhat streaky) and smothering defender.
Colin Borchert 6'9" 2009 Mountain Ridge (Glendale AZ)
Athletic forward has great post moves and footwork and can also get out on the break - which makes him both a dangerous half-court and fullcourt player. Love his confidence and ability to assert himself on both ends. Top 100 candidate in his class.
JP Olukemi 6'6" 2008 Stoneridge School (Simi Valley CA)
Strong and athletic wing forward was the object of intense attention by the entire Colorado coaching staff at his afternoon game today.
Ryan Howley 6'5" 2008 Sinagua (Flagstaff AZ)
Very improved swingman has a nice basketball physique and is a extremely deceptive athlete. Scoring skills are impressive too. Really helped himself with his play today.
Chase Adams 6'3" 2008 Salpointe (Tucson AZ)
Scrappy combo-guard plays hard, has legitimate three-point range and can flush it on you when he gets the opportunity.
Jordan Finn 6'4" 2009 Etiwanda (Etiwanda CA)
Silky shooter has underrated all-around skills and is quickly becoming a target of high-major programs.
LaBradford Franklin 6'1" 2010 Vista de Murrieta (Murrieta CA)
Great looking lead guard is a future star.
Kendall Williams 6'2" 2010 Los Osos (Rancho Cucamonga CA)
Young but talented PG emerged recently as a high-major prospect and was offered by Florida when he attended the Gators' elite camp last month.
Hamid Ford 6'0" 2008 Findlay Prep (Henderson NV)
Tough point handles pressure well and plays to win.
Richard Branning 6'2" 2008 Menlo-Atherton (Atherton CA)
Excellent shooter is just now maturing physically. Dad played at Notre Dame.
Breen Weeks 6'3" 2008 Cathedral (San Diego CA)
Gritty scorer has nice court instincts and confidence and plays equally well with and off the ball.
Michael Elliott 6'0" 2008 El Dorado (Las Vegas NV)
Solid floor-leader is quick and loves to defend.
Kelly Gibson 6'0" 2008 Tucson (Tucson AZ)
Smooth point has nice handle and creates tempo well when directing his team.
Stephon Heard 6'6" 2009 Jordan (Long Beach CA)
Bouncy swingman competes with 100% effort each time out. Potential national sleeper in his class.
Enoch Andoh 6'8" 2008 Mitty (San Jose CA)
Burly post knows how to use his body to his advantage in the paint.
Aaron Moore 6'7" 2008 Dominguez (Compton CA)
Quick forward doesn't mind mixing it up inside as well as getting out fast to lead the break. Washington is among the major schools showing interest.
Kelly Kaigler 6'3" 2008 Oakgrove (San Jose CA)
Solid combo-guard has a nice blend of strength, athleticism and skill level.
Austin Smith 6'8" 2008 Ironwood Ridge (Tucson CA)
Skilled face-up post-man has nice range on jump shot.
Terance Reeves 6'1" 2008 Poly (Long Beach CA)
Slick combo-guard can score and is attracting increasing D-I attention.
Travis Wilson 6'7" 2008 Cabrillo (Long Beach CA)
Intriguing post-forward is long and athletic. Nice upside!
Justin Hawkins 6'2" 2009 Taft (Woodland Hills CA)
No-nonsense combo-guard is not flashy……...just productive.
Flynn Clayman 6'9" 2008 Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield ME)
Skilled "big" forward put tons of points on the board on Tuesday.
Julius von Hanzlik 6'5" 2008 Beverly Hills (Beverly Hills CA)
Big wing has a nice looking perimeter stroke.
Skyler Vaden 6'2" 2008 Washington (Los Angeles CA)
Athletic combo-guard loves to attack the basket.
Kyron Brown 6'4" 2008 Elk Grove (Elk Grove CA)
Strong wing has a nice body and is a very good slashing scorer.
Lawrence Hampton Jr. 5'8" 2010 Tucson (Tucson AZ)
Small but very quick point guard creates problems for defenders off the dribble.
Kyle Barone 6'11" 2008 Stoneridge School (Simi Valley CA)
Underrated but skilled "big" is agile and can score.
Kyle Clark 6'11" 2008 Lakewood (Lakewood CA)
Clark is a "work in progress" but he is mobile and sports a healthy 4.0 GPA.
Jesse Hazely 6'7" 2009 Northwood (Irvine)
Active power forward plays with great energy and has a nice touch in the paint.
