Jordin Canada's game is straight fire, sick mad pg skills, cut you up like Tupac sang: obscenely.
What's the genesis? Jordin was that 10 year old girl, growing up in the Fairfax area,
a red rose that grew through the concrete of Roberson park.
Nurtured by her father Peter, who spent hour upon hour teaching his eager young daughter to dribble left, hard right crossover...hours upon hours. J-Canada grew up that beautiful rose from out of the concrete - she's the epitome of Tupac's poem:
"The rose proving nature's law is wrong, it learned to walk without having feet."
I was chilling recently with my guy Chris Paul at the Sports Academy, seeing Nike EYBL hoop. I told CP3 that J-Canada & Hassan Adams are my fav ballers ever. He said they both dope like hot sauce.

How do I describe Jordin's game? Too hot to hold, yet she's cold as ice. Jordin’s that 4-time All American from Windward High, now she's running ish as a Bruin point guard for UCLA in a mission to win it all.
To me, Jordin’s that perfect stone "cold killa" on the court. Unstoppable, she puts other point guards in trunks. #No doubt
Jordin is like Bruin fam to me, yet more, she plays with intensity, passion, and efficiency that other players wish they could generate.
Let's let Jordin speak on how much it means for her to be a Bruin, "It's an honor to be at UCLA. No other school has this kind of legacy, you have tradition here like no other school does."
Is it her eye popping stat lines, no. Her being a college honorable mention All American, no. Then what is it E-Woods that makes her the dopest of dope, the illest of Ill?
It's the savvy way she handles herself, her stare. She's like a pit bull on the prowl. Where does she get that intensity? “I grew up as a girl watching Ivory Latta play for North Carolina, her passion for the game, her aggression. She stood up for her teammates, got her squad involved, yet she had fun out there too."
I ask Jordin to describe the perfect point guard. She goes back to Chris Paul saying, "Chris always puts his teammates first. He'll take over the game because he's not afraid of controversy, but he trusts his teammates."
What goes through Jordin's head when she's in a game? "I try to get in my zone. No one can stop my game, match my attacking. I go at my opponent like Russell Westbrook, like a Chris Paul, that's what I always try to do."
Now do you see why Jordin is my fav women baller ever? Dope reps dope. 100%.
J-Canada is more than a baller. She can sing tunes a bit and is even a music intern for Blue Elan Records. Kirk Pasich is her mentor.
Because Jordin can do it all, she dreams of being an OGBYN later on in life, yep, she is that driven in all she does.
Jordin grew up watching Space Jam with her cousin Alex and seeing her other cousins Barry, TJ, and Angel ball out as she visited her grandma's house.
She grew to love the game of hoop and now fans across the country appreciate that's she's the best at what she does on the court.
Everyone told me Jordin is shy, and that's true, but as her coach Cori Close says, "She's shy, then pow, she comes out like a lioness."
Canada says of her coach, "My coach pushes me to my limit, challenges me to increase my IQ, watch film, be the best teammate I can be."
Jordan’s father started her off at an early age and she's so appreciative of her parents‘ sacrifice as she played for The GBL Lady Rebels and Cal Sparks.
But the reader needs to know that Jordin benefits from the love and advice her mother Joyce instilled in her, "My mom reminded me to be humble, that whenever I'm feeling down just pray to God. That advice has always stayed with me, we all need to pray in good and bad times."
That's why this girl gets my utmost respect, because she's more than dope. Jordin Canada is that rose growing out the cracks of Roberson Park.
When you watch her play you feel her game, talk to her you feel her spirit. That's why she's as dope as any Bruin ball player I've ever known, and I've known dozens.
She makes basketball better and is out to make the world a better place, one friend and game at a time.
